The gegant (giant) of Friar Celestí
The gegants of L’Hospitalet de l’Infant, Queen Blanche of Anjou and Prince Peter of Aragon, are accompanied by Friar Celestí, a gegant designed by Joan Miró and endeavour of Foment Cultural, who represents one of the monks from the Hospitaller Order of Brothers, who were responsible for the medieval hospital found in our town. Foment Cultural, via the Colla Gegantera troupe, first presented this gegant in public during the Festa Major de Sant Roc village festival in 2010.

– Design and creation of the sculptor Joan Miró, (La Serra d’Almos).
– Clothing: consultant, Puri Cervera; and production, Antònia Labòria.
– Wooden horse: Juanjo Margalef.
